Worthy Of It All

Worthy Of It All by CeCe Winans has been on my playlist a LOT this summer. Written by David Brymer and Ryan Hall and featured on CeCe Winans' album, Believe For It, it has been one of my go-to songs for worship on the go (in my car) and in my house!

I decided to stop and take a deeper look into the lyrics. Much of the song comes from Revelation 4.  

Revelation 4:9-11 says: 

9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say, 11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

The lyrics say, "All the saints and angels, they bow before Your throne

All the elders cast their crowns before the Lamb of God and sing." 

Can you picture that awe-inspiring scene in Heaven? God seated on His throne, with every single creature bowed at His feet...raising their voices in a beautiful chorus of praise!

I love the chorus: 

You are worthy of it all

You are worthy of it all, Jesus

For from You are all things

And to You are all things

You deserve the glory!

You are worthy of it all

And to You are all things

You deserve the glory!

The bridge repeats: 

Day and night, night and day, let incense arise

To me, these words from the song "Worthy Of It All" offer such a beautiful picture of Heaven. Drawing from Revelation 4:9-11, they portray a profound scene of eternal adoration where living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to Him who sits on the throne. This praise to the Lord of Lords is carried out by every creature, great and small, alongside the twenty-four elders who fall down and cast their crowns before the Lamb of God.

This corporate worship is entirely without ceasing—day and night, night and day, letting incense arise before the throne. It serves as a powerful reminder for us to continually praise the King of Kings, remembering that from Him and to Him are all things, and He truly deserves the glory.
